Amaranth Payasam Recipe

Ingredients:
100 gm amaranth
25 gm chopped almonds
25 gm chopped pistachios
40 gm jaggery

25 gm chopped cashews
25 gm raisins
1 litre full cream milk
50 gm ghee

How to make Amaranth Pay

Step 1

To prepare this delicious dessert, take a pan and heat it over a low flame and add the amaranth seeds to it. Let them puff and then keep aside.
Step 2

Then, in a non- stick pan, heat the ghee and add almonds, cashew nut, pistachios, raisins in it and sauté them for around 2 minutes.
Step 3

In a separate pan, heat the full cream milk for 10 minutes.
Step 4

Once done, add the puffed amaranth seeds to the milk. Let them cook for some time and keep stirring till the milk achieves a thick consistency.
Step 5

Then, add jaggery into the milk and let it get mixed properly. Transfer the payasam to the serving bowls. Serve hot.
